In 1975, individuals who comprised the original Board of PNDA became instrumental in organizing the Philippine National Day (PND) Barrio Fiesta for the Filipino American community in Sacramento. The event became a yearly tradition that exists to the present day. In 1994, the Philippine National Day Association (PNDA) was incorporated as a nonprofit organization in 1994.
PNDA provides cultural education, a sense of place for the Filipinx community and programs that nurture the future generations of Filipinx leaders in Sacramento.
